Police and MedStar responded to the Buc-ee’s travel center in far north Fort Worth late Friday regarding a woman who had been shot at another location, officials said.

The 45-year-old was driving on the freeway, apparently in Denton County, when she was shot, according to police. She ended up at the Buc-ee’s along Interstate 35W at 15901 North Freeway.

MedStar spokesperson Heath Stone said they responded to the call around 10:45 p.m. The victim’s injuries were minor, and she is expected to survive.

More information about the shooting was not immediately available.
