    40-year-old man injured in early morning shooting near Historic Southside, police say

    A 40-year-old man was injured in an early morning shooting on Tuesday, Oct. 15, near Fort Worth’s Historic Southside neighborhood, police said.

    Officers responded to the 1000 block of Missouri Avenue around 3:20 a.m. regarding a shooting call. They found a man who had been shot in the head, according to police.

    The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His injures aren’t believed to be life-threatening, officials said.

    No arrests have been announced. Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit are investigating the shooting.
