TCU baseball celebrates season with annual banquet

The Tri-City United baseball team officially ended its 2024 season with their annual awards Celebration Sunday. The Titans secured a 10-win season before having their season come to a close in the third round of the section 2AA baseball tournament.

The Titans had a very successful season winning 10 games and advancing to the third round of the Section 2 AA Baseball Tournament before getting eliminated.

Three Titans were named to the All MRC Baseball Team including Max Krautkremer and Dylan Westerman who were elected as All-Conference Members while Parker O’Malley was named as an honorable mention All-Conference.

TCU head coach Bruce Davis and Dave Lane of Mayer Lutheran were named the Conference Coaches of the year.

Krautkremer and Westerman continued to rack up the postseason accolades earning All-Section 2AA recognition.

Team awards, as voted on by members of the team itself. were awarded as follows.

Most Improved Player - Mason Novotny

Mr. Defense -Dylan Westerman

Mr. Offense - Max Krautkremer

Pitcher of the Year - Max Krautkremer

Most Valuable Player - Max Krautkremer

Max Krautkremer led the team with a .507 batting average on the season while also leading the team in hits with 36 and RBI’s with 22. Max led the Titans on the mound as well, pitching 49.2 innings and earning six wins on the season. He had an ERA of 2.11 with 67 strikeouts on the season.

On defense side of the ball, Dylan Westerman led the team with a fielding percentage of .975 with 161 fielding chances on the season.
