Taylor Swift has officially shared her endorsement in the 2024 presidential race, throwing her support behind Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.

Swift made the announcement in an Instagram post moments after the first, and perhaps only, presidential debate between Harris and Trump wrapped Tuesday night.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for [Kamala Harris] because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," Swift wrote in the post.

"I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," the post continued. "I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate [Tim Walz], who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades."

She went on to encourage voters to do their own research on the issue and to make an informed decision at the ballot box. The post was signed "Taylor Swift, childless cat lady," a dig at past comments from Trump's vice presidential candidate JD Vance.

Swift's endorsement comes after Trump shared an AI-generated image last month falsely suggesting he had her support.
