ACLU suing IU over 'Expressive Activity Policy'
INDIANAPOLIS, Iowa — The ACLU of Indiana is suing Indiana University over a newly-approved policy that limits demonstrations on school property. The ACLU is targeting the "Expressive Activity Policy" that went into effect on Aug. 1, 2024. In particular, the ACLU targets the policy's ban on expressive activity between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. The university's website outlines the punishments for violating the policy:

Hamilton Southeastern test scores show overall improvement
Hamilton Southeastern Schools student test scores show improvement over the previous year in almost all categories and multiple grade levels. Deputy Superintendent Matt Kegley gave a detailed and data-heavy presentation during the HSE Board of Trustees’ Aug. 28 meeting about the recently received spring 2024 standardized test results. He had announced at the previous board meeting that state IREAD reading comprehension scores for district third-graders showed improvement and promised at that time to return with more details.

IUI hosts first Bridge Week post IUPUI split
Bridge has existed since 2001 incorporating a variety of events, presentations and activities in order to help incoming freshmen acclimate to the college experience at IUI. While it originally only included a portion of freshmen students, it was later expanded in 2022 to include all incoming freshmen. This year’s Bridge on Aug. 19-23 was the first Bridge post IUPUI divorce incorporating new, and old, traditions into the experience.
