Alabama Commit Cancels Visit to Auburn: Roll Call, July 25, 2024
Once again, Auburn is making an effort to flip a 5-star wide receiver committed to Alabama. But once again, the Crimson Tide seems to be fending the Tigers off on the recruiting trail. Caleb Cunningham, a 5-star receiver in the 2025 class committed to Alabama, was slated to visit Auburn this weekend for the team's 'Big Cat Weekend.' Instead, Cunningham announced on Twitter/X that he would not be attending: Auburn was heavily involved with Cunningham prior to his commitment to Alabama, but the Mississippi native has not waivered on his commitment to the Crimson Tide. 37 Days. Alabama lands in top 5 for 2025 5-star CG Jasper Johnson
The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program has been trending in the right direction as of late. A large reason for that stems from the Crimson Tide’s success on the recruiting trail. The coaching staff has been able to sign some of the top high school propsects in the country. On Wednesday, Alabama was named a finalist to land 2025 five-star point guard Jasper Johnson. The other finalists were the Arkansas Razorbacks, Kentucky Wildcats, North Carolina Tar Heels, and Louisville Cardinals. Johnson has taken official visits to Alabama, North Carolina, and Kentucky. When On3’s Joe Tipton asked Johnson about his thoughts on...

Major questions must be answered before Alabama becomes a CFP contender
College Football will feature numerous changes in the upcoming 2024 season. With mass conference realignment going into effect and the College Football Playoff expanding to a 12-team format, it’s a different ball game. Because of this, the Alabama Crimson Tide likely won’t fall too far behind, if at all, as a result of the program entering a new era. Under the leadership of Nick Saban, the team were not only regular participants in the College Football Playoff, but were consistently competing in the national championship game. With new head coach Kalen DeBoer, expectations remain roughly the same. However, there are some...
Transfers for Alabama football to make biggest impact this season
Nick Saban was impactful in the NCAA transfer portal in his time as Alabama’s head coach. He pulled in names such as Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs, Henry To’oto’o, Jermaine Burton, Eli Ricks, Jaylen Key, and Trey Amos among others. Before the portal became popular, Saban landed guys like Jacob Coker, Richard Mullaney, Gehrig Dieter, and Landon Dickerson. Kalen DeBoer brought in some of his guys from Washington to the University of Alabama and is coaching other athletes the Crimson Tide got from the portal. Fall camp begins next week for the Tide, and we are continuing a series of players and positions that will be impactful.

Will Alabama target its tight ends more offensively this season?
Nick Saban had the tight end position at the University of Alabama as primarily blockers in the early part of his tenure. He started to attract more athletic pass catchers — including O.J. Howard and Irv Smith Jr. — but tight ends were not targeted like they should have been in the Saban era. Kalen DeBoer, an offensive mind, is someone who looks forward to getting the group involved more in the offensive attack.
5 uncommitted in-state 2026 prospects Alabama could prioritize
Recruiting at a high level inside the state of Alabama was a major part of the Crimson Tide’s success under Nick Saban, and Kalen DeBoer looks to make sure he is actively recruiting the state. Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class has five pledges from in-state prospects. The Tide also holds...
Wildly divergent expectations for Alabama offense
Heading into the Kalen DeBoer era, opinions are pretty split on how Alabama’s offense will look this fall. While this unit has a lot of talent, it lacks experience in some key areas and could be volatile as a result. The inconsistencies of quarterback Jalen Milroe last season are...
