Afton Coasts by Fairland to Claim the Class 2a District 6 Championship

AFTON, Ok — The Afton Lady Eagles and Fairland Lady Owls squared off for the Class 2A District 6 crown. Afton defeated Fairland, 58-41.

The Lady Eagles got a big boost from Lyndee Mikesell who finished with a game-high 20 points.

Delani Johnson and Chloe Church also had big nights finishing with 11 points each.

For Fairland, they were led by Jaylee Campbell who had 7 points, Averi Anderson scored 8 and Aubrey Kinsey scored 9.

Afton now advances to the Class 2A Regionals Winner’s Bracket. They will face Wyandotte on Thursday (Feb 22.) at Fairland High School with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
