    Colgan Panthers drops a heartbreaker to Erie 50-48 in the Class 2A Sub-State championship

    CHEROKEE, Ks. — On Saturday evening, a boys Class 2A Sub-State champion had to be crowned between the one-seed St. Mary’s Colgan Panthers and two-seed Erie Red Devils.

    The Panthers come up just short in a heartbreaker to Erie 50-48.

    Two Colgan Panthers scored in double figures. Jack Schremmer led the team with 19 points and Tucker Harrell chipped in 10 points.

    Colgan season is halted as they finish the 2023-24 season 18-4.
