Levi Smith’s Late-Game Heroics Lifts Webb City to Victory Over Davenport (IA), 3-2

WHITESTOWN, IN — Webb City (MO) squared off earlier today against Davenport (IA) with a spot in the semi-finals of the 2024 Little League Baseball Midwest Regional Tournament and won 3-2 on a walk-off.

Webb City was trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the 6th inning.

They cut the deficit in half when Rylan Crooker scored off a pass ball to bring it to a 2-1 ball game.

With two outs, Joel Beverlin delivered a single which allowed Jackson Moore to reach third.

With runners on the corner, a 1-2 count and two outs, Webb City walked it off in the bottom of the 6th inning thanks to a Levi Smith 2-RBI double to give them the win 3-2.

They will now advance to the semi-finals and are two wins away from a trip to Williamsport.

Their next game will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and the game will be shown on ESPN.
