    Top 5 Plays of the Week — Week 50

    JOPLIN, MO — After a week of sports, we showed off our Top 5 Plays of the Week from around the Four States area.

    Play #1: Levi Smith (Webb City 12u Right Fielder)

    Trailing by one in their game against Davenport (IA), Levi Smith delivered with a deep hit to right center to score two runners and Webb City walked it off in the bottom of the 6th inning!

    They defeated Davenport Little League 3-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Midwest Regional Tournament.

    Play #2: Rajindra Campbell (Missouri Southern Track & Field Alum)

    At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Missouri Southern alum Rajindra Campbell became a Bronze Medalist in the Men’s Shot Put while competing for his home country of Jamaica.

    He became the first Jamaican ever to win a medal in this event. His furthest throw was 22.15 meters.

    Play #3: Riverton 12u Little League

    Riverton 12u Little League needed a win and went on to defeat South Sioux City Little League out of Nebraska, 6-5 to avoid elimination and stay alive in the Midwest Regional Tournament.

    Play #4: Max Woodmansee (Webb City 12u Pitcher)

    On Friday against Nebraska, Webb City’s Max Woodmansee had a great game.

    On the mound, he struck out 8 batters in three innings and only allowed two hits and then with his bat, went two for four with one RBI including a solo HR to help lead Webb City to victory, 14-3.

    Play #5: George Hines (Webb City 12u Left Fielder)

    In their game against Iowa, Webb City’s George Hines made a an incredible diving catch for the out to get Webb City out of the inning.
