SENECA, MO — Seneca football took down Cassville and the Wildcats 55-16 on Friday night. The Indians offense came out strong early in the first half, getting out to a 35-0 lead.

Roman Miller opened the scoring for Seneca as the junior running back sliced his way into the end zone for a touchdown. While the Indians offense looked strong, the defense also came up big in the first quarter. Lane Scribner was credited with a quarterback sack, as the senior took down Cassville’s Bodee Rose to force a fumble.

On Seneca’s ensuing possession, quarterback Kaden Clouse kept the ball on a quarterback option and forced his way through a defender for a touchdown. The Indians took a 21-0 lead as the first quarter ended, and would continue to keep their feet on the gas pedal into the second quarter.

In the second, Kaden Clouse found Blaze Graham inside the five yard line on a key first down. With Graham setting up the Seneca in scoring position, Brodie Probert capped off the drive with a touchdown to extend the lead to 35-0.

Cassville would put up a few points on the board, but ultimately, Seneca’s offense proved to be too much as the Indians went on to win 55-16.

Up next, Seneca will host Mt. Vernon on Friday, September 6th at 7 p.m.
