MIAA Releases 2024 Cross Country Preseason Polls

KANSAS CITY, MO — The MIAA Released its 2024 cross country preseason polls, and both Missouri Southern and Pitt State’s teams placed in the top five.

The MSSU women’s cross country team was picked second and the men were picked fourth in the preseason coaches polls. The women’s squad on Southern returns 10 runners from 2023, including three who received all-MIAA honors. The men’s squad will return eight runners from last season, two of whom, received all-MIAA honorable mention honors.

As for Pitt State, both the men’s and women’s teams were picked as number one. The men’s team received 113 points in their poll, while the women received 143 points. Both of these teams will begin the 2024 season coming off an MIAA title.
