New Heights Christian Academy’s Jayce Walker Commits to Evangel University

JOPLIN, MO – Ahead of his senior season, New Heights Christian Academy’s Jayce Walker has made his early commitment to play college baseball at Evangel University upon his graduation this Spring.

Walker announced the news via X.com on Saturday, August 31st, after receiving his official offer on August 5th.

The versatile infielder had quite the junior season last year. Not only was he all over the infield playing shortstop, second base, and third base, but he also had an impressive .384 batting average, along with a .536 on base percentage.

To go along with those numbers, he also totaled in 28 hits, 16 RBI, and 28 runs.

Walker also a notable name in the Basketball community in Joplin and is gearing up for a jam packed senior season in sports.
