JOPLIN, MO – The Ozark Christian College Men’s Soccer team started off their regular season going 0-1 in a match versus Hesston College.

The Ambassadors returned to their home field Tuesday, September 3rd, to take on Union College in hopes to mark their first game in the win column this year.

Starting things off, Ambassadors own Griffin Condley gets by Union goalkeeper Greg Gains and get a nice look at the goal. Unfortunately, his shot was too far right, hitting the crossbar, and back into the hands of Gains who made the stop.

Following the shot from Condley, Ozark Christian’s Brayden Stuckey takes a shot of his own and sneaks it in the right corner to put the Ambassadors up on top early 1-0.

Next up, Union was looking to answer.

Back the other way, Warriors’ Dominick Maldonado fires a shot over the head of Ozark Christian goalkeeper Chase Hogan and knots the score up 1-1.

Condley would then go off to the races on the other end of the field. Putting on some moves and flying by defenders, Condley strikes the inside left corner and finds the back of the goal.

    Ambassadors take the lead 2-1.

Minutes before the half concluded, Maldonado was looking for goal number two. Speeding down field he wound up one on one with Hogan but Ambassador John Saltsman snuck in and almost forced the ball to go out of bounds to prevent the shot.

Hogan was right in front to clean up. A stunning finish to end the half.

Ozark Christian’s Brayden Stuckey would go on to score the game winning goal as the Ambassador’s took the win 3-2.

The team’s next match will be on the road in Moore, Oklahoma, on Thursday, September 5th, as they look to take on Randall University at 3:00pm.
