PARSONS, KS — The Fort Scott Tigers move to 2-0 this season thanks to a 22-6 win on the road against the Parsons Vikings.

With a 14-6 halftime lead for the Tigers, it was anyone’s game when the 3rd quarter kicked off. However, Fort Scott’s defense held strong to limit the Vikings to a scoreless second half.

The final score of the game which served as the dagger came by way of a Colton Rogers rushing touchdown, and the Tigers tacked on a two-point conversion.

The Vikings’ offense had several miscues in this one including fumbled snaps and negative yardage on crucial plays.

Thanks to their stout defense, Fort Scott walked away with the win.

The Tigers will be on the road once again next week with a matchup against Independence while Parsons is set to host Christ Prep Academy.

Both contests are slated for Friday, September 20 with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
