Riverton volleyball storms back to beat Colgan 3-2

PITTSBURG, KS — Riverton volleyball stormed back to defeat Colgan 3-2 on Monday night.

The Rams dropped the first two sets to Colgan 25-21 and 25-15. Colgan’s Izzy Tierney and Bella Ascanio both earned several kills in the early sets, as the Panthers looked to run away with the match at home.

Despite the 2-0 set lead, Riverton battled back to win three straight sets to win the match: 25-11, 25-21, and 15-12. Riverton’s Lexie Mallatt and Avery Barnett both made key contributions for the Rams on the evening, as they took the key CNC match on the road.

Up next, Riverton will take on Anderson County and Colgan will face Marmaton Valley.
