MIAMI, OK- The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Norsemen hosted the Tyler Apaches looking to bounce back after coming off a two game losing streak.

Both teams ended into the afternoon 1-2.

Starting off hot to kick things off was freshman quarterback Ike Owens. He would go on to find another freshman teammate in Brandon Harper right over the middle of the defense. Showing off his speed, Harper flew up the far sideline and would go on to put the first points of the game up on the board.

Tyler would come the other way on offense looking to respond with quarterback Nathan Greek faking a handoff and finding Ja’Quan MaGee in the endzone for six.

The scoring continued as Tyler stopped NEO from scoring on the next possession and marched down the field with Lavarion Logan leading the way. The redshirt sophomore running back punched his way passed the pylon to put Tyler up 14-7 heading into the second quarter.

Just minutes before the half concluded, Ike Owens would get his offense back in the red zone and sneak in a touchdown himself.

With NEO missing the extra point, the Norsemen were down 14-13 heading into the third quarter.

Down the stretch the offense was unable to produce anymore more points as Tyler went on to take the victory 23-13.

NEO will host Cisco College on October 5th at 3:00pm, while Tyler will host New Mexico Military Institute.
