Webb City Volleyball gets by Carthage 3-0

WEBB CITY, MO – The Webb City Cardinals hosted the Carthage Tigers as both teams headed into the evening looking to continue their winning seasons.

Webb City came into the match with an 18-3 record while Carthage sat at 13-7.

It was a back and forth set one and the narrative continued for set two.

Adalyn Maxwell for Webb City would spark some defense in the front blocking a shot to continue the Cardinals momentum on both sides of the balls.

Carthage would fire back with a dual effort of their own consisting of a Jaidyn Brunnert and Ashleigh Rowden block to get the Tigers back up on the board.

Next possession Elsie Willis would join the party and hammer home a spike of her own.

The offense was cooking for the Tigers but the Cardinals put a stop to their run. down the stretch.

Jaylee Van Becelaere would secure the attack coming into set three as Webb City road the momentum to capture the 3-1 victory.

Webb City will look to travel down to Willard on October 3rd at 7:00pm, while Carthage will hit the road to Neosho at 6:30pm.
