MIAMI, Okla – Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents seize more than $10 million worth of marijuana plants and processed marijuana from what they’re calling an illegal Ottawa County grow.

Agents arrested Moni Li, 54, on Oct. 8 on complaints of manufacturing and trafficking a controlled dangerous substance in connection with the raid, according to OBN officials. She has not been charged.

“There could be more arrests,” said Mark Woodward, OBN spokesman.

OBN agents served a search warrant at Lucky Mona, LLC. located at 56701 E. 135th Rd. in Miami, and said they seized 6,483 marijuana plants and 548.8 pounds of processed marijuana.

Woodward estimated the street value to be around $1,500 per plant and pound for processed marijuana.

Li is accused of operating a marijuana operation with an OBN registration obtained by fraud using a “straw ownership” scheme.

A straw owner is a person who owns an operation legally but does so on behalf of another person to hide the identity of the valid owner.

The person who was listed as the marijuana license holder had no knowledge or interaction in dealings with the farm, Woodward said.

Woodward said the individual surrendered the license, which made the Miami operation illegal.

A huge difference was noticed when the agency started doing one-on-one interviews, he said.
