Webb City volleyball falls to Ozark 3-0

WEBB CITY, MO — Webb City volleyball fell to Ozark 3-0 in a tough matchup on Thursday night.

Webb struggled against the Tigers offense, but were able to put up a fight in the third set. In an effort to fire up the Cardinals, Mia Lenker bumped a pass to Savannah Crane as the junior slammed it down for the kill.

Later on, Lenker who had the earlier assist, would end up getting the point off a pass from her teammate Kirra Long. Still trailing 16-10, the Tigers began to answer in piling up the points. Going for the kill, both Crane and Long teamed up to block the point, but the Cardinals still trailed by 8.

Later with Ozark on offense, Rutledge would have a great dig, and Jaylee Van Becelaere came swinging in for the slam.

Despite Webb City’s efforts for a comeback, the Cardinals fell at home to Ozark 3 sets to zero.

Up next, Webb City will travel to Neosho on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m.
