    Oglesby & Strader of Pitt State cross country earn MIAA Athlete of the Week honors

    KANSAS CITY, MO — Pitt State cross country’s Matthew Oglesby and Kate Strader earned MIAA Athlete of the Week honors this week.

    On the men’s side, Oglesby lead the Gorillas to a third place team finish in last Saturday’s invitational in Alabama. Out of 336 racers, Oglesby placed sixth in the 8K race with a time of 23:58.50.

    On the women’s side, Kate Strader led the Gorillas to a team title in last Saturday’s invitational in Alabama. Out of 272 runners, Strader placed fourth in the 6K race with a time of 21:03.40. This is the second time this year where Strader has earned the honor.
