WYANDOTTE, OK — Wyandotte football hosted Salina on “Wyandotte Night” where all fans received free admission to the game on Thursday evening.

With the ball first, Wyandotte quarterback Hunter White dashed his way 43-yards into the end zone after keeping on the read option. Leading 7-0, Wyandotte’s Avery Lofland would intercept Salina’s quarterback on the ensuing possession to give the ball back to the Bears.

Riding the momentum in the second quarter, White handed the ball off to Kason Threet who forced his way into the end zone for a touchdown. Threet’s effort pushed Wyandotte out to a 14-7 lead.

Late in the second quarter, Wyandotte’s Jack Brecheisen took down Salina’s quarterback for a big sack before halftime. The game came down to the wire, but Wyandotte ultimately got the best of Salina with a 28-27 home victory.

Up next, Wyandotte will travel to Commerce to face the Tigers on Friday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m.
