PITTSBURG, Kan. — Hundreds of fans celebrate an annual tradition at Pittsburg State.

Just outside of the Carnie Smith Stadium in Gorilla Village, Pitt State alum, families and friends kicked off the homecoming game with a parade and GorillaFest.

    More on PSU…

Food trucks, free burgers, live music, and a few local vendors were available for everyone.

For some, homecoming is a walk down memory lane, for others, it’s a family tradition.

“It’s the community and everybody is here to support the gorillas. And we just all are here to have a good time. And it’s just fun,” said Zalie Allen, incoming PSU freshman attends every year.

Homecoming festivities ended the “Gorilla Walk,” and a two o’clock game against “Fort Hays State University.”
