CASSVILLE, MO – The fall softball season is almost at a conclusion in District 3. The Cassville Wildcats hosted the District 3 Championship tournament this past weekend with quarter final games getting underway.

Game 1 consisted of the Nevada Lady Tigers taking on the Seneca Lady Indians.

Starting things off in fashion was Seneca’s Kahli Fields. She would crush a solo homerun over the left-center field gap to put the Lady Indians on the board first in the first inning.

Later down the stretch, Abby Stelts would hit one back to pitcher Payton Eaton. Eaton went on to overthrow first base which sent home Callie Rhoades in the process.

The Lady Indians would take the lead 4-2.

Despite trailing most of the afternoon, Nevada was just getting started.

Kaleiah Johnson would nuke a ground rule double into left field sending home the game tying run later in the fifth inning knotting things up 4-4.

The Lady Tigers were able to hold Seneca scoreless for two straight innings as Addison Mcinroy put the icing on the cake with the walk off RBI to take home the victory 5-4.

With this quarter finals win, the Nevada Lady Tigers will play Cassville in the semifinals at Cassville High School October 21st at 5pm.
