Rain will fade but cooler weather stays
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Storms tracking through Kansas will have a threat of strong wind gusts of 60-65, but that risk will fade away in the early morning hours of Saturday. The chances of severe weather should be limited to far western Kansas, and as the storms track into central and eastern Kansas, the storms will weaken considerably.

Funding awarded for two local road improvement projects
( KAIR)--A combined $26 million is awarded for 33 road improvement projects in Kansas communities, including two in the local area.
