16-year prison term handed down to Indianapolis man for aggravated battery and drug possession
On Friday, a judge sentenced an Indianapolis resident to 16 years in prison for his role in a shooting that occurred in October 2021, as well as for a drug possession charge. IMPD officers of the Northwest District swiftly responded to a call reporting a shooting incident on October 18, 2021, in the 5500 block of W 38th Street. As per their report, they found an adult female with injuries that matched gunshot wounds upon arrival. She was immediately taken to a local hospital where she is now in stable condition. The IMPD has commenced an investigation into the matter.
