Sunshine, warm temps prevail in the Mid-South this weekend

    2024-07-26

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A foggy start to the day across the Mid-South, so be careful as you head out.

Otherwise, not much change in the forecast. Temperatures remain well above average today near 90 but a cold front is rolling through today and it will bring a major drop in temperatures. The average is 79/58 and will be there by tonight.

    The Day Ahead 10/6/24

Tomorrow kicks off a stretch of sunny fall weather with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s. We head back to average by the weekend. The Gulf has a system that will likely be named soon. Its up to a 90% chance that will bring flooding likely to central Florida.

    Tropical Storm Milton 10/6/24

The tropics are not looking good. Tropical Storm Milton formed and is now expected to be a major hurricane ... At least a Cat 3 when it makes landfall near Tampa mid-week. This is a rare path for the storm and this area was just impacted by Helene. No real impacts to us.
