Police: Stalled train blocks railroad crossings in Collierville

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. - A stalled train along railroad tracks in Collierville has prevented traffic from crossing at key intersections, officials reported.

The train, stopped due to mechanical issues, blocked all railroad crossings from Byhalia Road to Shea Road, according to the Collierville Police Department, which announced the delay about 1:15 p.m.

Officials said drivers could cross the tracks at both Bailey Station Road and at the bridge on Highway 72.

No estimate of when the train would be repaired and running was available.
