Two people killed, and a third woman injured in shooting, Hernando Police say

HERNANDO, Miss. - Two people were killed, and a third critically injured after a morning shooting in Hernando, police reported.

Hernando Police Department Officers, after a 911 emergency call, went to an address on Mason Drive at 8 a.m. on Aug. 4.

A woman and a man, found with gunshots, were pronounced dead at the scene while a another woman in critical condition was flown by a helicopter to Regional One, police said.

The street runs east of McIngvale Road and north of Commerce Street.

Police determined there is not a threat to the community and detectives are investigating the deadly crime.
