OREM, Utah — As another storm rolled through northern Utah Tuesday afternoon, some areas were hit with significant flooding.

And for the second night in a row, Utah County was hit hard.

In Orem, neighbors of all ages were out shoveling and pushing water down storm drains. There were kids and parents with buckets helping the homes with basement damage or downward-sloping garages.

Some residents had to move out the damaged clothes and furniture and get fans and dehumidifiers running.

Although the storms were expected in the forecast, the amount of water was too much to handle. Even hours later Tuesday night, there was still a lot of sitting water on the main roads and streets.

People who were born and raised in the area say they've never seen anything like this before.

"Some neighbors were saying that they had to stay away from their windows, it was that scary," said Brittany Barney.

And if there’s not sitting water, there’s a lot of debris — leaves, branches and gravel in the middle of the roads, even at the I-15 off-ramp.

There was also sitting water on the interstate, which caused bumper-to-bumper traffic well after rush hour.

And some areas received enough hail to look like the ground was covered in snow.

And meanwhile, some took the opportunity to have fun with the water.
