LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock said that enrollment numbers for the fall semester have seen an increase in freshman and transfer students.

According to university officials, data shows a 26.6% increase in first-time freshmen while transfer student enrollment saw an 18.3% increase. Officials said that undergraduate enrollment jumped 3.5% from 5,255 to 5,439 students.

“This enrollment growth is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and administration,” Chancellor Christina S. Drale said. “Everyone at UA Little Rock has contributed to creating an environment that not only attracts students but supports their success, and these enrollment figures reflect that collective effort.”

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Chief Data Officer Cody Decker said the university’s focus on affordability and attainable education reflects the growth in freshman and transfer student numbers.

UA Little Rock officials said the university has invested in scholarship initiatives, expanding internship opportunities and upgrading facilities over the years.

“We’ve worked diligently to balance enhancing affordability and improving the quality of our academic and campus environment,” Dr. Decker said. “It’s gratifying to see that these investments are paying off, as more students are choosing UA Little Rock as their destination for higher education.”
