LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A small fire broke out at the recently renovated Sue Cowan Williams Library in downtown Little Rock Sunday afternoon.

A fire department spokesperson said a smoke alarm went off at 2:30 p.m., and a crew from the Central Fire Station was on the scene within minutes.

The fire was put out by a responder with a fire extinguisher and no injuries were reported.

It is believed to have started in a utility closet, and damage was limited to that immediate area.

The Little Rock Fire Department used fans to get the smoke out of the building.

The fire marshal is now working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
