LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Clinton National Airport announced Thursday that the airport will soon transition to cashless parking.

Airport officials said that beginning Monday, Sept. 9, they will discontinue staffing its main parking payment booths. Payments will be processed at self-service kiosks that accept credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Officials said that with 96% of airport parking customers already using credit cards, the change will allow additional employees to assist passengers as needed in the parking lots and terminal.

For the next several months, an employee will be available to handle payments for those with cash only, and a kiosk in the ticket lobby will also offer cash-to-credit card conversions.

The change comes as airlines and most vendors have already begun phasing out cash transactions, including the Clinton National Airport, which stopped staffing its economy and west short-term parking booths in 2020.
