PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Crews are responding to a house fire in the McAlmont community in northwest Pulaski County Wednesday morning.

Captain Gary Williams with the North Little Rock Fire Department reported that firefighters with his agency were responding to assist the McAlmont Volunteer Fire Department at the scene in the area of Mitchell Avenue & Daffodil Street.

Video from Arkansas Storm Team meteorologist Pat Walker of the scene shows flames coming from the home in the wooded neighborhood and plumes of black smoke rolling into the sky.

There was also audible popping from the fire. Authorities have not as of yet released information as to what could have been causing those sounds, though officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said it was likely there was ammunition in the home.

No information has been released at this time regarding any injuries connected to this fire.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
