Interstate 40 eastbound near Hazen open after morning crash

HAZEN, Ark. – Interstate 40 eastbound near the Hazen exit is now open for traffic.

A morning crash had closed both eastbound lanes on Thursday morning.

Arkansas Department of Transportation officials reported an injury due to the crash, but did not provide additional details as of Thursday afternoon including the cause of the crash or vehicles involved.

Traffic cameras on IdriveArkansas.com show eastbound traffic in the area moving smoothly.

West Bound was a mess too...Time to expand the lanes to 4 lanes in each direction. It's outdated for the population here and in surrounding states, and now is the time to look to the future. It could create good Arkansas jobs, and make the roads a good memory instead of a nightmare for people passing through our state...
