River Valley Rally set for September 21 in Russellville

Pilots are donating their time and talent for a good cause Saturday at the Russellville Airport.

The inaugural River Valley Rally is a charity flight event hosted by the Arkansas Flight Safety Cooperative. There will be 15-minute scenic flights including views of Petit Jean, Mt Nebo and the River Valley all day Saturday, September 21. Proceeds benefit two local charities: Joseph’s House of Russellville, helping foster kids and families, and River Valley Food 4 Kids.

“It was inspired by the local aviators who just wanted to connect with the community to give back,” said River Valley Rally co-coordinator Sarah Lake.

Aviation enthusiasts or anyone curious about flying in general are welcome to come out to the family friendly event.

Gates open 9am Saturday. The last flight is scheduled for 7pm. Tickets range from $25 to $50. Additional information on the event and the Arkansas Flight Safety Cooperative can be found here .
