LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Thousands of Arkansans and some from other states gathered Sunday for the Downtown Food Truck Festival.

For some, it was their first time experiencing this event, like Nayeley Wilcox.

“I like it, there’s so much to offer so many food places, it’s lots of good picks,” Wilcox said.

Those that have been to the festival before may have noticed a different experience with the new location, as well as more vendors, food options, and people.

Zoey Campbell, Hounds Lounge Vendor said she noticed an influx of people.

“I love that it grows, I love that you can get anything like vegan food, plant-based food, you can get dog food all that good stuff and BBQ,” Campbell said.

People like Zoey are happy to have more tasty options, and there was enough food to fulfill her and everyone in attendance.

Theressa Murtha, owner of Pat’s Kitchen, says her booth was like a hot shot. Hundreds lined up for her famous Funnel cakes.

“Everybody’s coming and enjoying the funnel cakes, corn dogs, fresh squeezed lemonade,” Murtha said.

Temperatures were very heated this year, but luckily there were plenty of lemonade stands, and thanks to JC Youngblood with a vendor called Mempops, people were able to stay cool.

“We’re trying to cool folks off everyone’s out enjoying the music and trying to make the most of it,” Youngblood said.

Organizers said over 10,000 people were in attendance at the fest and it will return to West Capitol Ave next year as well.
