LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An hours-long standoff involving a gunman and law enforcement at a west Little Rock home ended Tuesday afternoon with no one injured.

Dozens of units from the Little Rock Police Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Calgary Trail, just a few blocks off of Kanis Road.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said an eviction notice was being served by a deputy when someone started firing gunshots from inside the house.

Deputies returned fired, and SWAT officers and a Crisis Negotiations Unit were called to the scene.

Authorities said negotiators had several communications with the man who had barricaded himself in the home, but he finally came out around 2:30 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident.

PCSO officials said no one was hit by the gunfire and that there were no other injuries reported at the scene. Authorities also said the gunman was the only person in the home.
