    Arkansas National Guard gets change of command

    NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A change of command is in place for the Arkansas Army National Guard.

    Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Sunday gave remarks as Col. Olen Chad Bridges takes command as the 55 th Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard with the departure of Major General Jonathan Stubbs.

    Bridges joined the Guard in 1991 and was commissioned in 1998, assuming command of the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in 2021. His three prior assignments were in the Pentagon.

    The Colonel has been a full-time Guard officer since 2006 and lives in Conway with his wife and two children.

    Stubbs was nominated by President Joe Biden to be the next director of the Army National Guard in July.
