LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Federal officials in Little Rock said Thursday that a multi-convicted felon will be in prison for the next 20 years.

Monitz Tucker of Bryant was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty in May to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl. United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas Jonathan D. Ross said the 30-year-old Tucker also received a sentence of five years of supervised release after his prison term. The federal system does not have parole.

Officials said on April 4, 2023, Homeland Security agents made a controlled delivery of a package they had intercepted earlier that contained 35,636 fentanyl pills weighing nearly four grams. Agents delivered the pills to a house in Jacksonville where Tucker accepted it, investigators said.

Investigators said they searched the house shortly after Tucker got the pills, where they found additional fentanyl pills, a Glock pistol, cocaine and marijuana, leading to Tucker’s guilty plea.

Federal officials said Tucker was a career offender due to his documented history of convictions for different types of illicit drugs and possession of a firearm.
