SHERWOOD, Ark. – A dog that has spent more than two years at the Sherwood Humane Animal Shelter is finally being adopted.

After working with animal-centric website The Dodo to post a video of Hashbrown, the 4-year-old pit bull terrier mix, his story captured the hearts of millions and he is now being adopted by a family in Maryland.

Revision proposed for dog breed ban ordinance in Sherwood

Officials with the city of Sherwood’s Animal Control Department said in July that a ban on pit bulls and similar breeds inside city limits caused problems when trying to adopt out mixed breed dogs like Hashbrown.
