Arkansas State Fair closes out with record-breaking attendance

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas State Fair wrapped up its final day of the year on Sunday.

It was a record-breaking attendance, and people were still enjoying the entertainment on its last day.

As the Arkansas State Fair comes to an end, fair attendance continues to ramp up.

“We went the first weekend,” fairgoer Brandice McGuire said. “We wanted to see how the fair was going to start off. And then of course, the kids wanted to come back.”

Like many, McGuire said they attend the fair for entertainment that lasts hours. And when her kids aren’t riding the rides, the family is enjoying the food.

“My youngest, he loves the strawberries,” McGuire said. “I’ve eaten a couple of fried Oreos myself. The pizza, the corn dogs, we’re hunting around for the best turkey leg on the fairgrounds.”

From rides to fried Oreos to face paint, it’s all the perfect way to cap off the 84th Arkansas State Fair.
