The final touches are being put on a mural in Dutchtown on Sunday.

The mural, which is called “Dutchtown: Settle Here,” highlights the diversity of the community.

This is said to be artist Marley Billie D’s most ambitious work yet. It’s all a part of the Saint Louis Mural Project, where 28 murals are being painted across St. Louis . That’s two murals in each of the 14 wards.

The mural is at Read-A-Book STL on Meramec Street.

The community is invited to come help finish the mural from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A ribbon cutting will take place on Sunday, September 1.

I remember when Dutch town was a decent safe area. Different people with a different culture moved in.
