    Man shot near O’Fallon Park in north St. Louis: Police

    ST. LOUIS – One man was critically injured Sunday evening in a shooting near O’Fallon Park in north St. Louis.

    According to a statement on the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s X account , the shooting happened just before 8:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Florissant Avenue, which separates the O’Fallon and Penrose neighborhoods.

    The 44-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition . Police previously reported that the victim had died overnight.

    Police said a 32-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene. The shooting is being investigated as a domestic assault.

    Homicide detectives have taken the lead on the investigation.
