Six Flags St. Louis introduces chaperone policy for Fright Fest

ST. LOUIS – Six Flags St. Louis has introduced a new chaperone policy for Fright Fest events, requiring all guests 15 and under to be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years old.

The policy will take effect on Friday, Sept. 13 and run through the end of Fright Fest events on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Six Flags says the policy will take effect at 6 p.m. through closing time during each night of Fright Fest.

According to a Facebook post Friday from Six Flags St. Louis on the policy,

• All guests 15 or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old
• One chaperone cannot accompany more than 10 guests who are 15 or younger
• The chaperone must present a valid ID with a date of birth upon entry to the park.
• The chaperone must be available by phone

“The safety of our guests and associates has always been our top priority,” said Six Flags in its Facebook post. “We’re dedicated to keeping our park a place where thrill-seekers can enjoy fun and immersive experiences.”

Six Flags says the chaperone requirement will be applied for all one-day ticket and season pass holders.

Anyone 15 or younger who is found away from the chaperone could be removed from the park, according to Six Flags.
