    Shooting at St. Louis car show injures 18-year-old man

    ST. LOUIS – A man was hospitalized after a shooting occurred at a car show Sunday night in north St. Louis.

    The shooting occurred around 11:50 p.m. on the 1800 block of North 9th Street in the Near North Riverfront neighborhood.

    According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police, an 18-year-old man told authorities that he was at a car show and began running after he heard gunshots.

    The 18-year-old realized he had been shot in the thumb and was picked up and taken to a nearby hospital. The victim is in stable condition.
