ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A stranger allegedly swam in a St. Louis County homeowner’s pool last month, then later trespassed into her garage before being arrested earlier this week.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Tiffany Nelson with criminal mischief and resisting arrest amid the investigation.

Court documents obtained by FOX 2 allege that Nelson trespassed the homeowner’s grounds on at least two different occasions, and at least once tried to claim that she owned the home after being confronted by the homeowner to leave.

According to court documents, Nelson was first caught swimming in the victim’s pool on Aug. 2 and told to leave, to which it appeared she complied. Then, on Sept. 3, the victim found Nelson in her garage and ordered her to leave.

Nelson reportedly argued with the homeowner that “this was her home,” and eventually the homeowner called police.

As police arrived to the scene and approached Nelson, she ignored officer commands and yanked her wrist away from an officer. She also tried to push an officer away and again claim that she owned the house, per court documents.

Investigators say that the victim does not know Nelson and also knew the prior owners, who did not have any ties to Nelson. Court documents did not disclose the address or municipality in St. Louis County where the alleged events occurred.

Nelson was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Sounds like either she's not playing with a full deck, or she's trying to run some kind of scam.
