ST. LOUIS — Lindbergh High School’s Marlee Steiner is one ambitious student-athlete.

Since she was a young girl, Marlee has played volleyball and softball. Those are each fall sports at Lindbergh.

“I wanted to continue playing both sports, especially in high school,” Marlee said. “Both sports I just love so much.”

So, when Marlee made the Flyers softball and volleyball teams, her coaches worked together to ensure she could take on both sports, even having a draft for the games she’d play for each sport.

“My coaches and teammates have been very supportive of me (me playing both volleyball and softball),” Marlee said. “The coaches love double sport athletes, and, I think, just being able to show them I can be a double sport athlete in the same season is possible to do.”

Not only does Marlee play two sports in one season, but she also excels at them. Last year, Marlee earned all-district honors in both softball and volleyball.

“Being able to help both teams in some way, in some days, I really like doing that,” Marlee said.
