Pedestrian fatally struck while walking on I-270

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A 24-year-old Florissant woman was struck and killed by a vehicle after walking along Interstate 270 on Sunday.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Keionna A. Shelton was struck just after midnight when the driver hit her on I-270 west of Highway 367.

The driver fled the scene after the crash but was arrested a short time later.

I'm glad they got him and I hope they throw the book at of him but what puzzles me I notice this ever since there's been a migration West in that area of the county and others a lot of people have got hit by cars walking now if you had a car breakdown I can almost understand because if you have a car breakdown not out of 10 you have a cell phone you would call somebody to help you then she could have been put out of somebody else's car but people have been walking West Florissant and other areas in the county and getting hit and that puzzles me those are not walking areas those streets are dangerous
