SHILOH, Ill. — Police are searching for a woman who faces charges in connection with serious injuries to a three-week-old child. Roxana L. Miranda, 39, is currently at large.

The charges stem from an incident on July 14, 2024, when the Shiloh Police Department responded to a local hospital regarding injuries to an infant. An investigation revealed the child’s injuries occurred while in the care of a family member. The victim was initially treated at a local hospital before being transferred to a St. Louis area facility for further care due to the severity of the injuries.

On September 9, 2024, the St. Clair County State Attorney’s Office issued three warrants against Miranda. These include aggravated battery to child, and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the life or health of a child.

The Shiloh Police Department is actively looking for Miranda and urges anyone with information to contact them or their local police department immediately.
